Let My Laughter Resound!
FINDING RELEASE FROM THE ‘BONDAGE OF SELF-CENTEREDNESS’
How can such a person stand ‘on tiptoe with joy’ when he does not see God as a loving God, when he does not see himself as the object of God’s special love, when he does not see his fellow men as persons who are loveable and who are creatures worthy of being served. He is ignorant of the true dynamic in the ‘triangle of life’ (God, Self, Others).
Only the individual who properly ‘relates’ to God and to Self and to Others – only that person is ‘constitutionally happy’. Happy because he loves God, supremely; Happy because he loves himself wholesomely, not selfishly; Happy because he loves others sincerely, issuing forth in caring.
What others think of him is not that important, for he is living for his God, and God’s ‘smile of approval’ rests upon him. He is ‘free’ in Christ, and he is diligent to serve Christ (and that call of God upon him is ‘no laughing matter’). Because of that freedom that Christ has given to him, he is ‘free’ to give himself away to others (in a self-forgetful way).
To live in this God-centered, humble manner, truly defines ‘real living’. To get one’s ‘Self off of his hands’, means that one is prepared to serve God effectively and to love others truly – and to manifest true Joy and (at times) hearty Laughter!
