Discovering the ‘hidden elements of laughter’ in life’s various events!

Let My Laughter Resound!

This is what is meant by ‘implicit laughter’ – laughter that comes when the humorous aspects of an event finally are ‘mined’ or discovered. One can only discover the ‘hidden levels’ of laughter if he has a spirit of humility, a spirit of teachableness, a spirit that is ‘free’ from the resentment that was experienced as a result of relational problems which were involved in the past event. If one is proud or over-sensitive or resentful, there is no ability to experience pleasure or happiness or laughter in any event of life.

He cannot experience (wholesome) laughter in even the most obvious humorous events, and he will have no motivation to discover the ‘hidden elements of laughter’ in any event. A proud or defensive or resentful attitude makes it impossible to see the ‘fun’ or the ‘humorous’ or the ‘laughable’ features in life (in general) or in a specific event (in particular).

It is the unselfconscious person, the humble person, the person of goodwill, the person who is at peace with his fellow men – only this kind of person has the capacity to embrace the love of God as it is displayed in its various dimensions. One of the dimensions of God’s love is the dimension of ‘laughter’.
